There is no reference implementation of WSRF

There is NO reference implementation of WSRF.
Reading this paper on co-allocation presented at SC06 I came across this:

We have implemented a prototype of the proposed system
as a set of cooperative Grid services using Globus Toolkit 4
(GT4) [Globus ], that is a reference implementation of WS-
Resource Framework [WSRF ],...

GT4 is not a reference implementation of WSRF, there is no reference implementation and GT4 is not WSRF compliant. The reviewers should have caught this.

I wonder if there is ever going to be a reference implementation of WSRF. First, WS-RT might bring an end to WSRF. Secondly, WSRF relies on other specifications that are not quite stable. People still discuss about WS-Addressing for example. It seems hard (and perhaps pointless) to have an implementation that can be used as a refence when what it relies upon may be subject to radical changes.

WS-Addressing is a stable standard now. I think the group is doing some other bits of related work though.

The Globus Project is currently working on upgrading the implementation to final version of the spec.
